Sometimes the most beautiful moments come to me when others are distracted. This is a philosophy that I carry with me throughout the day and make sure I’m aware of my surroundings and watch as people interact and read their body language and anticipate to place myself in the best position to document.
This portrait of Lisette is a great example. Listette’s bridesmaids are actually bustling the train on her dress. As she turned her head to get a view of work being done I was able to slide to my left for the perfect angle.
Not noticing my movements or realizing that I was photographing allowed for a effortless and classic look.
