I met Tania and Brian at our favorite beach to photograph their new family addition, Cleo. The last time I saw these two they were dancing their wedding night away. Life stories were shared, lots of laughs and sand between our toes. We reminisced about their wedding day and how happy they were with their wedding experience.

When you place your heart, body and soul into a craft, happy tears and warm feelings flow when words like this are shared.

“Bryan Miller is an extremely kind, genuine person. We quickly found a comfort level with him that allowed us to be ourselves, and it really came through in our photos. He proved to be exceptionally talented and perceptive. Our pictures are like a time capsule, and each is a piece of our collective story.”

“Through those perfectly captured memories and emotions, we are so thankful to be able to relive our wedding day through our families’, our friends’, and our own experiences. We couldn’t have asked for anything more!”

Tania & Brian

This was Cleo’s first beach visit…and we think she enjoyed every minute.

Creating a storybook of your wedding by carefully selecting each image is a process I take pride in. And seeing images come to life in print is one of my greatest joys.

When I look at a completed storybook I see the process we took to build your album together along with a beautiful end product. And I also envision my couples thumbing through the pages during the holidays with friends and family. Picking up their album from their coffee table during a commercial break to reminisce. And I see the next generation experiencing their parents making a commitment to each other one page at a time.

A storybook is far more than a series of images…it’s a significant day in your life story that you will share from one generation to the next.

Whether it be through me or creating one on your own, I encourage everyone to print your photos and if you can, create a storybook of your wedding day.

It’s a small investment for something that will give you a lifetime of happiness.

Here are a few images of Nicole and Phil’s wedding album. Custom designed by myself and the bride and printed and bound by Kiss Books.

2016 was inspiring in so many ways…and this wedding was one that got me.

I can’t describe to you how infectious Tania and Brian are, but one look at Tania’s smile will give you an idea. They’re two of the kindest, most gentile human beings you’ll ever meet. They treated us like old friends, welcoming us in with open arms. And there’s nothing more inspiring.

Brian’s aunt who stood in as their officiant, sang to open and close their ceremony and short, meaningful poems and quotes were given to a select few in attendance to read during the ceremony.

Then, during the reception, Brian’s brother unpacked his guitar and brought us all to tears with Cat Stevens’ Father and Son.

And I couldn’t imagine a better setting and team to work with.

Luxe Events and Blush Botanicals created a unique and special atmosphere for Tania and Brian. From the meandering aisle to the woodland inspired reception. Estancia is one of the most beautiful places in San Diego and Luxe and Blush styled it beautifully.

Congratulations, Tania and Brian. Like you, your day was impeccable.

I get a little nervous before each session. If you don’t, you’re just not human. But for this session, I must admit, I was really nervous.

Alex is a friend and peer (Check out her work here). As talented and hard working as she is kind. And when someone you work with and admire asks you to create for them, it’s both flattering and nerve wracking. She has been a cheerleader of my work, something I’ll forever be grateful for, and I wanted to give back for all she has given me.

60 seconds into our session my nerves were gone. Issa started cracking jokes, Parker circling us in comedic relief and these two were arm-in-arm, laughing and smiling. Their chemistry is real.

Hanging out in their home, where they spend their days together was the perfect place to begin. They opened their home and invited me in with hugs and warm smiles. We then went to Rancho Valencia where they’ll be married in just a few short months.

Alex and Issa, thank you for being you…
