Bryan N. Miller Photography bio picture

Hi, my name is Bryan

We all have a story to tell. I meet and get to know quite a few couples at a very important time in their lives and each story I hear is completely amazing. The stories about how you met, how you fell in love and when you realized 'this is the one.'

Your children will look through your wedding album and learn about the history of your love...your grandchildren will do the same and that's why these stories are so important to tell because these are the stories we build our lives around.

This is what I love...telling stories.

And how do we do that? It's about spending time together. Chatting, learning about why you're together and what makes you tick as a couple.

And on your wedding day I'm there with you, as a storyteller documenting with my eyes and heart.  I don't get noticed much, people are relaxed around me because I'm calm and collected. Always. And as the story unfolds before us, I capture and build, moment-by-moment, frame-by-frame, each tear and smile, until the last moment has passed.

And when we get together, let's not talk about
camear gear. Let's not talk about tossing a  bouquet or garter...instead, let's chat about
why you're engaged, what you see in the person
you're marrying...tell me the vision for wedding
and how I can be a part making that vision a reality.

What do you say? Send me an email and let's get the
conversation started.

thoughts…

To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy. HCB Tweet

thoughts…

To take photographs means to recognize – simultaneously and within a fraction of a second – both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning. It is putting one’s head, one’s eye and one’s heart on the same axis. HCB Tweet

thoughts…

Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn’t go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick. HCB Tweet

Photo Zen

I felt a walk coming on Superbowl Sunday. I knew I would be in front of a TV from 2pm to midnight watching the game and post-game and enjoying time with friends…so I needed some sunshine and fresh air. I felt a little low aperture 50mm zen come through me while perusing through Balboa Park....

Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. HCB Tweet
