Cancer.

It sucks.  Plain and simple.

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago but she’s endured treatment and beat the odds.  We are thankful in so many ways that it was caught early. And when my grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he too went through treatment and has beaten the disease.

We are so lucky to have both of them with us…and now that the holidays are here we start to reflect on the year and give thanks…I feel lucky that I will be spending time with them both in the coming weeks.

Others are not so lucky and we must never forget that.  Thankfully there are friends and family to keep the memory of those lost in the forefront of our minds and also raise money and awareness to someday help everyone beat this disease.  This is where Greener Pastures comes in.  I was contacted by a good friend, Krisitn, who along with others has continued the memory of Jacqui Nguyen through this foundation.

I was happy to offer a photo session in their silent auction earlier this year and Dawn and Isaac were kind enough to donate the highest bid.

This is one beautiful family and we spent some time together on a cloudy afternoon in San Clemente.

Ella says goodby everyone!

Thank you Dawn and Isaac for donating!!
