On Thanksgiving day 2014 we departed from San Diego to the Patagonia region of Chile. In particular we were headed to the Futafeufu River Valley to raft one of the best rivers in the world. Huge disclosure here…we’ve never rafted a river prior to this trip and here we are heading to Patagonia to ride one of the most complicated rivers in the world.

I’m here typing this so everything ended just fine. In fact this was by far one of the best trips we have ever experienced.

Unfortunately there are no rafting pictures. The cameras I had with me were not allowed in the boat and wouldn’t have survived had I brought them with me. But because where we traveled to was so remote, and the landscapes so unique, the food so good, the people so kind…the trip will always be extremely special to us.

I hope you enjoy the images and to take this one step further I’m posting selected images on my Instagram feed to tell the story behind the images in more depth.
